SLA's code worked without any problems, thanks for the additional information though. However, this will not be infecting my add-on as when I tested it, it turned the entire screen into a blob of numbers and words. I prefer the methodology that Nikon suggested, it works well and maintains the information without cluttering the screen.

It was suggested to me that I add tooltips to the buttons to explain what they turn on/off. I have already done this, but I need translation assistance again.

lol, it's very funny, what the google translator has told you (e.g. a letter can be "eingegangen" but no dmg and heal and "geschehen" is not received but somethink like it happens and there are "Begleiter" and no sweet "Haustiere")

BTW: You can use this http://dict.leo.org/ instead of google translator. This will give you in most cases a betther translation. but it onloy supports word by word translation and not whole sentences.

Thanks for the quick reply, I'll make these changes immediately. Still trying to find some way to convert cyrillic to latin1 like SLA did for the Russian translation.

I've did this for SpamProtect and yes it is normal, that you see funny chars if you test the addon in russian on an not russian operating system, if you use the userMods.ToWString-way to make localisation. In the russian SpamProtect I also see funny chars but it works in the client of SLA.

HOW To Do this:

-Download n++ here http://notepad-plus-plus.org/
-open a new file
-choose the 5th menu (something like character encoding in English version?)
-then the 6th one which also open an sub-menu (something like character set)
-the chose 4th one (cyrillic) and there windows-1251
-now copy and past the Russian strings
-go to the character set sub-menu again and chose now 2nd from the bottom (west european)
-and there windows-1252 and say yes and save the file anywhere
-now the letters are converted and you can copy and paste them to your lua file

BTW: why can't I change the language of n++ from german to english o.O (oh I see, something complety went wrong with my n++, I can't use any option anymore and the updater don't show me updates, but I have an outdated version, so I will reinstall it now --> this has solved the problem)
